What are you playing this weekend/these days?

I've now gone back to the Witness after a long period of avoiding it. It had a good habit of making me feel really stupid, although I've recently discovered that patience and 'wandering when stuck' has essentially been the puzzle pieces I was missing, as it's all explained really clearly if you're paying enough attention.

Still playing Chrono Trigger occasionally.

Find I'm looking at games now and imagining how well they might play on the Pyra. For example, I do play steam, ps4 and 3ds a lot but some games I'd rather get specifically to play on the Pyra.

One of the Adventages of the Pyra /Pandora is this "Everyday Carry" Aspect,
sure i also could put my 2DS XL in my Pocket instead of the Pandora, but then i would need a second space for the Cardridges, and i dotnt have this little Linux PC..

There is this booring Family Festival, but whit the Pandora/Pyra, you could work some spreadsheed (Libreoffice Calc) or play some Amiga Games..

Some Saints Row the Third on Nintendo Switch,
Plays good , I’m currently finished the second mission, which was a bit difficult:
You have to escort a Helicopter and shoot other helicopters,
My issue wasn’t that I was bad at aiming, my issue was a activated cheat that makes the Explosions bigger, so everytime I shoot a enemy helicopter, it’s also harmed the Helicopter I wanted to save..
But now it’s finished..

I also tested a New Romhack Super Mario Land DX, which is a bit like Super Mario Land 2 DX but for the first Gameboy Mario Game,
First via Everdrive GB on my GBA whit Backlight Mod, plays good, looks good
Than on Pandora whit 8Blitter, works also, only it’s shows a bit ghosting..

In the never ending quest for escapism in intricate virtual worlds I remembered how I used to love the first Tomb Raider. So I bought the 2013 and 2016 versions.
I have finished both and they're nothing but medicore games. QTE ridden collect-a-thons in ever-growing, marker-filled maps, sporting ubiquitous waist-high-walls cover shooting mechanics.
The interesting stuff was far and few between. Shame.

Today I stumbled over Tomb Raider Anniversary, the 2006 remake of the original. Within the first ten minutes I felt right at home. Moody caves and ancient architecture. Nothing but mysterious ambient sounds except for the occasional musical sting when a pack of wolves rounds the corner. Love it.

Oh blimey, the 2013 version was the crystal dymanics led second reboot of the series (the one with the rape scene). 2016 was presumably some sequel of that. I think I played and enjoyed Legend, the one before the 2006 game, also knows as the first reboot, but must have skipped on Anniversary because I'd already played and enjoyed the original game in the dim and distant past.

I bought Legend along with Anniversary, both are about 1€ right now. It's the same engine. So Anniversary is like a whole new game.

Similar to Minecraft but better IMHO.
I'm curious to which points are better for Terasology. (I'm not a Minecrafter myself). Is it interface or crafting or just the graphics?
Tried the game and loved it. But had to lower so many settings because I was getting too few FPS (laptop, no good graphics card). Will need to try it on my desktop (Linux, too lazy to configure it atm)

I bought the Starlink game for Nintendo Switch recently.
It's overpriced but it was on sale and I bought it.
It's repetitive but I would not call it bad.
I'm not bored still.
And playing as team Star Fox outside of Smash Bros in an Arwing is nice.

Finally was able to play Mankind Divided in 1080p, 60fps and just finished it. Was good fun, want more of that

Recently finished Fire Emblem on GBA (emulated on Pandora).
I'm not really convinced. I've found the tactical part to be pretty limited. It felt like the challenge didn't really come from tactical choices but rather from... I don't even know, it wasn't very challenging except when it was throwing overpowered bosses.
The characters have a nice design and some of them are pretty well written but I don't feel like playing the other games of the series.

I must admit, I don't think I've ever finished a Fire Emblem game I can't grind in to take the challenge away after a while and just play through the story. As such, the sequel on GBA, the Sacred Stones is probably still my favourite ever Fire Emblem game, but that's only really because I could break the game in the Tower of Wotsit, and then just troll through the rest of the games story.

Put several hours into Dragonquest Builders on PS Vita (physical). Really started to open up after a few hours and it's all the better for it.

I quite like the more linear approach, as Minecraft is too open for me to enjoy in short doses.
