@EvilDragon @Phawx I will try them out (i have to reinstall windows anyways, when i get around to install the bigger ssd i bought) and see which works best for me Simplewall is opensource which is a bonus, but i need the store at least once to install ubuntu for the linux subsystem feature.

Btw. wifi seems to work fine as far as i tester. But i will test that more in depth tomorrow.

Well, Simplewall only works when you start it, and then you can easily install stuff from the store.
Also, Updates get through unless you disallow it.

Basically, Simplewall disables the Telemetry stuff and for everything else which wants to access the internet, Simplewall asks if it's okay or not.
So you can easily give any program access to the net or not :)

I got some time to test the wifi. wifi works ok, not exceptional great but also not bad.

But I found another problem the abxy buttons can sometimes not be pressed in especially if not pressed perfectly from the top.
The dpad is not as good as the one from my current gamepad or my snes controller. it fells strange (but works fine) but i think i get used to it.
The shoulder buttons are great and the keyboard is also not bad (a little to big).
Fan noise is way louder than the fan in my thinkpad by comparable load.
The speakers are also ok (at least better than my thinkpad speakers)

Also the metal parts get statically charged when the cord is pluged in (not as bad as it sound, i had a few other devices that did this)

All in all the win2 performs as I expected

----
Horse power:

only games i tested so far (only tested very shortly):
normal game:
rocket league works ok on default settings

cpu bound game:
minecraft (java) the game can't always keep up, but this game would definitely be playable

for multi thread performance testing, compiling some big project should work fine.
When i got time i will let the win and my thinkpad (and maybe even my desktop) race against each other.
But for this test a have to wait until i install linux on the win (as i want to compile the kernel).

But for this test a have to wait until i install linux on the win (as i want to compile the kernel).

Just did this today to get linux-git (touchscreen and xpad are both fixed upstream now): took about an hour, IIRC.

@txus thats not bad for such a small device. (I once tried to compile codeblocks on my oneplus one, and the poor little device nearly died xD)

yesterday I tried to install a 64bit guest os in virtual box, it worked out of the box :D

really like the win2. I only wish that it had a modem build in. (have to wait for the pyra to get that feature)
I also noticed that my speakers are always on (the produce white noise). I probably have to reinstall the driver

Btw. writing this on the win2 :)

Hope you arent getting tired of me, but have you gotten a shipping notice for the devices?
When do we pay for our preorders?

At least the delays are getting shorter :), tnx for the update, hopefully this gives them enough time to remove rootkits and virusses from the devices they will sent to your shop.

Depends on the nature of the delay, and what happens during it; you can still have a delayed and shoddy product...
That just means it was rushed after being delayed, when it should've been delayed further.

I received my Unit 2 days ago. And I must admit: Wow!

It is better than the Win1 in every aspect. And it solved the main weaknesses of the Win1:
1. bigger screen (useful for using Windows properly)
2. far better keyboard
3. far more power (played FIFA 18 last night and it was great)

Build quality is nice. yes.
In terms of the exterior I would say it's on par with premium labels. Superior to the Win1

Congrats @kracken34

I don't have one yet, but I heard the build quality is better than Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft consoles.
Definitely nicer than Nintendo. Even with Ninty's attempt at a modern looking device with the Swiitch, it's toylike compared to the Win 2.
