Cool Stuff Thread

I backed this, meant to post it earlier, but didn't get chance. If the quality is any good, not sure if it's worth asking them if they'd be able to make an aluminium Pandora case and how much it'd cost

So in 1962 Chrysler built a Turbine powered car that could run on most any fuel. Thye built a number of them and gave them to people to test drive for 3 months. They also took it around the world to show off. It never got into retail production though.
Hard to bhelieve this innovation was there in 1962. And it's not the first turbine powered car either, working turrbin cars had been made my GM in the 50's

Here are some good videos of it.

And GM's Turbine concept car:

Robots sorting system helps Chinese company finish at least 200,000 packages a day in the warehouse

[doublepost=1491875260,1491870668][/doublepost]How would you like to be that worker at 10 seconds in. I can imagine the postion interview

Interviewer: You will be in a state of the art facility on a wharehouse floor which also has hundreds of robots doing the heavy stuff.

Candidate: Wow, that sounds awesome

Interviewer: Oh, one other thing, you will be working in a hole that's 3 feet by 1 foot wide.

Candidate: Ahhhhhhhh. What !

He really could do with another extra widescreen monitor mounted vertically if he's going to play games like Asteroids on it. That side art is some of my favourite things about those old games (hence my current avatar).

Oh you mean like 2 vertical widescreens on each side to display the cabinet side arts?
That's an awesome idea!
Imagining that all housed in a cabinet, with the sides obviously cut out to show the displays - I would love that, I've never seen that done, though I'm sure it has been. I'm off to search for such a cab.
... That's on my wishlist now, and probably going to be at the front of my mind all day long
