sound output plugin for pandora-configbutton

linux audio is a frickin mess.
sdl seems to favor pulseaudio.

somehow sdl's alsa layer doesn't expect a bluetooth connection.

in case you are running into problems with mplayer:

mplayer defaults to the oss audio driver which will ignore our alsa settings. so you wont get any bluetooth output.

to change that edit /usr/etc/mplayer/mplayer.conf
Code:
ao=alsa

if you want to pass the driver to your mplayer call you can use the -ao flag.

gmu and sdl still give me a hard time...

I tried with VICE and OpenXcom, both SDL programs, and they work fine with BT.

But in both cases, and SDL, i did disable compiling with pulseaudio with latest versions.

This env variable on start script helps too:

Code:
export SDL_AUDIODRIVER=alsa

It's a shame we don't have an updated pulseaudio version, because in my PC with Linux is just plug and play.

I don't see the gmu program on the repo, is this version the one you talk about?

I could try to make a package with 0.10.1 and see if it works.

yes it is.
i think wejp didnt update his sdl codebase, but sure, go ahead.

holliefant will love you for making it work :)
[doublepost=1487454935,1487435692][/doublepost]@Ziz: i updated PAS to version 0.5
you might want to add it to the plugin.

Ok, now i see the problem you talk about, but so far any solution i tried failed.

This error seems to repeat a few times on the pnd.out

ALSA lib audio/pcm_bluetooth.c:1614: (audioservice_expect) BT_OPEN failed : Invalid argument (22)

Still need to do a few more test and polish a bit the PND, but i would upload it sometime next week.

Slaeshjag asked me to change the way I ship the script anyway, so I will change it, when I change the shipping. However I did not think yet about how to update pas.sh. I will add some version checking, too. ;)
Are the .asoundrc files downwards compatible?

Are the .asoundrc files downwards compatible?
sure. the script does only one thing: it will copy and rename the template files, no matter what the contents are.

pas.sh didn't change much.
i revised the syntax of the .asoundrc files.
.asoundrc_hw's softvol control didn't work because i was lazy. should be perfectly alsa compliant now :)

Awesome! I don't think there should be many problems with overwriting the script and the template files. I will have a look at this soon™.

He did a new version of gmu.. but no Pandora one... Someone want to try that and make an pnd of it, preferably with bluetooth? Pretty please with sugar on top?

Well, it works, but not with sugar on top, i mean bluetooth.

And you can like me as much as you want, but i'm already married, ;)

i just realized that i misread your name all the time.
i thought your name was "canesco".

but actually writing your name two posts ago i wondered: who's that canseco guy :p
