Hey guys,I heard GPD company plan to develop a new 7 inch laptop this year from dingoonity.

It employs Windows 10 system+Touch panel+fully functional keyboard, with 4GB RAM + 128GB ROM.
The main difference between this and GPD WIN is that it is slightly larger (7 Inch) and it doesn't have gamepad buttons.

Here is two rendering of the new product blow:

And I got another post from their official forum bolw:
GPD company is going to launch a brand new product later this year. The reason to launch this product is that some handheld game players are also the fans of laptop, and they are very interested at this laptop which is easy to type and carry. Also for some geeks they are also quite fancy this tiny laptop. Therefore they are going to launch this product. The product is currently named "Pocket", meaning it is the laptop which can be put into the pocket.

Actually, it can indeed be put into the pocket. It is slightly larger than GPD WIN, and because it employs CNC integrated color aluminum process, with extremely narrow frame with 7-inch screen design, also it has QWERTY keyboard, so that the overall layout is very compact and tiny.

Here are the basic configuration of the product:
CPU:8700
RAM:4GB
ROM:128GB
Screen: 7-inch IPS screen, full lamination technology, Gorilla glass 3
Battery currently: 7000mAH

It would certainly be awkward if you hadn't since you're working for them.

Eh?
Didn't someone post at the GPD Win thread that Karen isn't working anymore for GPD?
Maybe someone else is using that account though.

I see that honesty still isn't one of GPD's PR practices?

That's a typical chinese PR tactics, hard for most of us to understand, but very common :)
And spread it everywhere :)

Just search for "Hey guys,I heard GPD company plan to develop a new 7 inch laptop this year from dingoonity." in google and you'll find posts in different forums :)

They also like to overhype things (like the MAJOR update of the GPD Win... which is basically a new keymat material and using the same matte color for the same case. Nothing I'd call major :))

Jesus fucking Christ...
Are the GPD people employing spammers or something?

I'm not annoyed by the thread itself, but I'm annoyed that it's in Development section instead of Other consoles or Off-topic.

Borderline spam, but moved to offtopic.

How many threads do we need on this

I was going to report it as spam. I appreciate that it got moved. Maybe it should have been merged with the other thread. Is it also the standard for typical Chinese spammers not to check forums where they post the spam to see if their product is already being discussed?

Yes. They simply login to as many forums as possible and do a copy-paste-post from Word (which also explains the weird formatting :))
Checking the forums for already existing threads takes too much time.

Yes, IMHO it is spam. And deliberate deception.

A basic rule of international advertising: speak to people in the method and manners of their culture.

The 3rd person manner of the post text is, frankly, a bold faced lie. It is clearly a GPD owned account.

Spamming forums this way makes me -less- likely to purchase their products. But, since no English speaking representative of GPD will every likely read any of these follow up messages, they likely think that this 'Free' to them advertising is working wonders.

Does GPD have a discussion forum where you can drop Pyra advertising into their product development threads? Apparently this behavior is acceptable to GPD?

I clicked in to report the OP as spam... whether or not its something Chinese do regularly, I'd still call this tactic spam.

We need to burn this thread to the ground.
[doublepost=1484324881,1484324493][/doublepost]Oh, and this spam shows me that their main interest is in pushing Windows, so that kinda negates what I said in the other thread.

We already have a thread for this product. Here.

Whatever your opinion of thinly veiled advertisements, we really don't need two threads about the same product.
