Slackware inside Pandora.

Quick notes:
-I will release a new beta soon with some fixed things, unfortunately no optimized video player yet.
-Slackware ARM -current is now hard float. While this is an incredible news for the Pyra, it also means that the 14.2 will probably be the last release for the Pandora having the pnd compatibility.
For now I plan to finish the soft float SL4P, then maybe I'll also do the hard float but I don't really see its usefulness.

Is it possible to change the screen resolution ? I have a program that wants 800x600 and gives an error. Some programs are showing a bigger screen so I have to move the window with the shift key but are working.
I want just to show a "fake" resolution" to the program (its a windows program I use with qemu).

Thanks for help.

You can try to set a virtual Desktop to 800x600 with the winecfg ;)

btw..did you 3D get working?

Can't really help on that it's an application problem.
Maybe try fvwm2 because its virtual desktop is 2D so you have horizontal and vertical extensions.

Is the question for me Ingoreis ?

@ Ingo : no Game here (I don't play games - very rarely Sudoku ). It is a USB scope for Windows.
When starting it shows an error " 800x600 needed". But if it is possible : how can I set the resolution via winecfg ? Remember it is wine 386.

Thank you.

just start winecfg with qemu-user-i386 or the Way you start X86 Apps and choose in Grafics and choose here a Virtual Desktop to 800x600.

I used this on my first Diablo2 Tests ;)

Second beta is out :

I fixed an issue with the network manager, and another one with the WI-Fi, among other minor things.

I unfortunately discovered a problem with the bluetooth as the old sources + patch are now incompatible.
I updated the patch and was able to compile and install bluez. But now the config files have brand new options and I'm stuck with a failure there when I enable BT.
I'm looking for help about this, so in case I let the new bluez sources in the /root/ folder of the rootfs.

And now for something totally different, I was able to install the Slackware ARM hard float port on the Pyra devboards (EVM and IGEP) with a recompiled mainstream kernel. It works pretty well.

@Linux-SWAT : I tried with fvwm2 but it didn't work.
@Ingo : when starting winecfg it shows 800x600, but when trying with qemu-i386 I get an error because ../i386/bin/winecfg is a link to ../arm/bin/winecfg which is not an x86 program. So where is the i386 winecfg ?

@Linux-SWAT : I haven't had much time for projects, but I may try and help with BT. I was hoping that installing Pyra OS with all the updated libs would help my Pandora connect to my Pebble, but BT seems to be broken there as well. If there is any chance of getting updated bluez working on the Pandora, I'd like to help.

It's already compiled and installed in this latest beta, and the sources are in /root/ .
Maybe it can work with a little tweak on config files, I don't know BT at all.

Yeah I'm in the process of downloading the rootfs. Not sure when I get a chance to install, but will take a look at it after work.

A quick info, I'm building the -current release, which is hard float.
It's running well so far, but I didn't bench anything yet as I'm building the base packages (notaz' sdl, slim, zenity etc.).
Can anyone point me where I can find the hard float SGX driver for the DM3730 plz ?

Ah, so there's also a gazillion hardfp drivers, each with its own private nasty bugs ^^ ?
[doublepost=1473707035,1473702176][/doublepost]Firefox can play HTML5 youtube videos fullscreen at the lowest resolution pretty well.
I don't know if we can already do that with .pnd browsers.
