Gamescom, sensor upgrade and other nice news

...
Maybe just feed this thread to that LED screen they say it's there ? ...
Not really. First it has 32x64 resolution, which is nice for retrostyle animations, but not for text.
Second it's currently only feedable with a bunch of pre-processed png images (one per frame of the video)
Third there IS some java software, which could stream a video to the display, which is not working on the raspi right now :-(

There is another Monitor (some huge TV thingy, which isn't in plain sight)

OK, summarizing:
one custom build LED "screen" / pixeldisplay rigth above the Pyras in plain sight from the walking tracks
and one TV "big thingy" between ED#s and the neighbour booth.

Not really.[...]

OK, just to get it straight... I wasn't being serious. I didn't really expect anyone to go and display this thread there, nor broadcast the booth by TV instead of the olympic games.

I was sincere in thanking the team, though, that was for good.

for all of us who frequent the boards, there's probably nothing really new to be learned from these interviews. (of course, this is me talking with only very minimal german comprehension.) so even if you don't know german, you probably know what ED's talking about.

the benefits of watching it, knowing german or not, is to listen to that calm, soothing evil dragon voice in its native tongue...

Oh, really? He mention something about a hotel some days ago and now I see him happily talking with a stranger... ;).

Some good news at the beginning of the post:
TILER is now working on one of the Pyra Prototypes.
It was quite a bit of work, but thanks to the IRC channel, we managed to get it running!

Thanks to everyone involved there.

Okay, now some pictures from the GamesCom, mainly the Retro-Area.
Sorry, no Pyra-pictures yet, will do more of them during the next days.
I was mainly concentrating on the other booths for now :)
