Not another poll on this. Let's await a poll by @EvilDragon instead.
Not sure what he is waiting for, uncertainty about what you are purchasing is a great way to force people to delay their order.

I hate to be that guy, but clear cases to me look like cheap toys to me.

I like Black personally, but wouldn't mind a dark blue or a dark red if the shoulder buttons are still black.

Do you have anything in a lightish-red?

Caution warranted as light red exposed to sun on the dash of a vehicle = pink?
[doublepost=1463156559,1463156480][/doublepost]I still say that if we're going to consider 'clear', go all out gumball machine on it and do with glow in the dark clear polycarbonate.

Do remember that red fades the most out of the three primary colors. A blue Pyra would be more colorfast.

I don't care what anyone says, that clear case is beautiful. It totally shows off all the hard work that went into designing the device.
I really don't want to see "Another" black/grey/silver device, lets step outside of the box for a bit.

While I agree that the clear case is cool and it should be an option, I'd never prefer it over a black matte one for one simple reason: I find it incredibly distracting... while grey and black have a relaxing effect on me.

Only exception: A clear case Pyra with black PCBs, etc.! *drool* *whynotboth.gif*

I don't see too much differentiation with Black and Charcoal... Usually black in renders end up looking like Charcoal in real life.

How about slightly-brighter-than-Pandora-black then? The presented render also has a slight hint of brown on it, which makes contributes quite a bit imo. It's not quite the same when you put that image into greyscale.

Edit: Toned down my understatement to please the audience. Still not something you'd call a brown case tho.

So maybe when ED confirmed black is happening, he was really confirming dark grey will happen. Nice!

If clear and black are both options, you could assemble that.

I plan to buy a set of plastics in each color offered. Mix & match to suit my whim.

How could that be assembled if clear cases are made? I suppose painting the guts black may work, but I wouldn't personally do that.

I imagine clear plastic can't be made to look crystal clear like in the rendering, because of the roughness of the moulds, which will give matt colours, or a frosted look like the prototype: https://pyra-handheld.com/boards/images/ProtoFull.png

Maybe some kind of polishing of the plastic is possible... otherwise it would have to be cut specially out of acrylic maybe? (which would be really cool of someone managed to do it)
