Since no else wants to make the thread and I'm really curious. This is mostly curiously. If you have to be "that guy" do it in the other thread. I will change or refine the poll, if it needs to be. This poll assumes that you want the camera.

Here's a link to the camera modules. link

This poll assumes that you want the camera.

That puts an automatic bias on the data which makes it useless for making any kind of case you might want to make that there should be one built in.

Seriously though you're wasting your time,  just like Saber with his new keyboard variations.   The Pyra won't have a camera built in.  You should start from that premise and focus on how one might be modded in. That's going to be something you'll have do yourself, but gathering ideas on how it might best be done may well be useful.

Yep,those guys. This specific for the people who wants a camera. We already heard from the "no" guys from the other thread. We are still hearing from them, even when I clearly stated that this isn't what the thread is about. All we got is a yes (which doesn't tell us much, all I wanted to see is spefics and explainations without them getting buried.

Like I said, if you are here just to be "that guy", leave.

Looks like the first one want video chat and it doesn't matter if you can't mount it.

I mean, what else would you want the inside camera for?

Even if I made a "why you don't want a camera" poll, it would probably come down to mostly paranoia nonsense and, price and complexity. Price and complexity being the only valid one.

To be fair, you are being "that guy" Just drop it and look on how to include a usb camera and ask for opinions on what some other will do if they want one, not how you can dump one of the features we're set on to get something most not only don't care for, but explicitly state that it better not be there, like android os by default.

No, I am not. You do realize I put no and not sure on that part and I did include usb. I didn't even say that the main Pyra will have the features taken. You just trying create an argument when the thread is not even directed at you.

If you are not trying to make a case for a change in the Pyra's design then your goals are unclear and need to be clarified if you are to get any useful data. Are you planning to fork the Pyra's open design files and produce a competing product yourself?

Really not using the energy to argue this, when I mostly did this out of curiosity. You are going to "scare off" the people who might want to explain their choices. The most I'm interested in is the USB and inside vs inside camera parts btw.

No physical volume wheel..., that's interesting.

I can't vote, because the selections for "Doesn't the lid or case thickness matter to you?" are yes, yes, yes, and I wouldn't mount the camera anyways.  The lid thickness doesn't matter to me.

Um... _wb_, how can you vote for Volume wheel and said no? Lol

I was trying to be specific and I thought that last part would be fair enough for no, but I will added it anyway.

You'll get the camera and probably never use it then blame everyone for it.
Lol irl Funny, but I will be sure to use it. I doubt it, but even if I don't use it, I wouldn't blame anyone.

I want a camera too, but it is not happening. It is better to just start thinking about solutions rather than still argue for nothing (it won't get built in, end of story).

Shouldn't the topic/poll be named different to give a clear understanding of what it is your asking? (had to read the third question to get it...)

Um... _wb_, how can you vote for Volume wheel and said no? Lol
I voted for "volume wheel", "no", and "not sure". That is, I'm not sure which to pick: "no" or "volume wheel". If forced to pick one option, I would pick "no". Does that make sense?

OK, I understand. I didn't think of that possibly. Didn't cross my mind that someone unsure would still pick one. I hope that didn't overcomplicated the poll.

I like your poll, Natsu. You've picked your desired data set and are specifically testing for it. The outcome will yield some good information even if it only serves to satisfy a curiosity. Maybe it'll be useful in coming up with mod ideas?

Anywho, I want an internal facing camera for video chatting and I bought a cheap small webcam for that purpose. It won't be useful on bus trips and such where I'm just carrying it in my pocket but when I make longer trips and stay in a hotel keeping it in my luggage is no problem.

That's exactly what I want too. Something that can be used to video chat from a hotel room. Doesn't need to be extremely compact.

Would be cool if you can just plug it in the USB port, and it has some kind of short flexible arm that you can adjust, which is strong enough to hold the webcam by itself (without harming the USB port). That is, you could put the Pyra on a table and use it like that, or you could sit in a chair or on a bed and hold the Pyra as a handheld and still have the webcam.

I would probably be better to have 'I don't want a camera' options in all categories anyway.  It's a poll - I must vote in it when I see it, and possibly not even bother reading the OP.  If you had 'no camera' options I'd be able to vote without risking corrupting your results.  As it is, I've voted for a hypothetical camera that I don't actually want in this form factor, and made it clear I'm not willing to sacrifice *anything* to get it.

My vote essentially says: I DO want a camera, but I would sacrifice NOTHING (except some money) for it. And I can live without it.
