I'm pretty sure most of you guys have noticed ED's latest tweet, but anyway :

Looks like there's at least a semi-final layout written on it. Could this be a sign of the end of times ?

Anyway, it's a good thing that we now have a proper render of it. When I told people around about the Pyra, I never had a good preview to show them. Now we have one.

I like the way the caps look over the keys.  It would be great if they really look like that.  That color works well, imo.

Edit:  I forgot to mention that I really like the angle the lid is at in that pic.  It might need to be tilted back slightly more for my use, but as long as it is more stable at other angles between closed and fully open I will be happy.

People can put cameras and stickers and stuff there.  I will usually be looking at the places where all the action takes place, not the front edge.  (I can't remember what is going on to the right of the screen but I was thinking the top fake screw might be a good place for a camera for those that want to add one.)

as expected the right side next to the sd card slots look a little... empty. :)
Because the Antenna module is behind that afaik. ;)

Well, the Case just looks like a Pandora 1.5 so nothing exiting actualy, still very "bricky" (and I cannot see the improved edges on top ). But I like the new buttons, if they look like that on the final device, it would be nice.

It would be great if somebody attached the image. As incredible as it may seem there are people who do not have facebook, twitter or similar.... Like myself.

Thank you :)

you don't need a twitter account to see the picture.

Ok, I've tried again and now I can see the image. I don't know why sometimes it asks me to register or create an account...

At this point, a rendering of the case doesn't really add all that much, in my opinion.

I'm looking forward to the first fully operational prototype.

At risk of being... unhelpful, here is a link to the image in full resolution: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CK1B8zpWIAANAIx.jpg:eek:rig

As can be seen, ESC/PrntScrn (and SysRq?) is in the top left, with F11/F12 next to it. At the top right are the screen brightness controls, with indications that with Fn they are keyboard brightness. The rest of the F-symbols are on the number row, with a space-saving colour-coding scheme. Backspace, Return and keyboard Shift have no Fn-combination.

Looks nice, but expect the diverent front side and diverent keys, its the well known old Pandora Design..

The collor also is nice, not that silver as the Pandora, and not booring black..

Very nice. Keep it as unattrative as possible as I'm freaking tired of looking at new techs that are looking so polish and perfect. :)

Edit: In this stage of age, unattractive = very attractive ;)

ED, can you take a picture of the printed case in real life?

EDIT: I also wonder if there will be different coloured cases.

For some reason I really like look of the plastic key caps. Looks kinda fancy to me.

I'd love to see one with the backlighting demonstrated as the current renders seems to have solid colours for the key prints.

Oh and I'm personally not a big fan of ALL CAPS WORDS on the keyboard. Esc, Super, Start and Select would look fine wtih normal capitalization in my opinion (and maybe for consistency sake, but that's arguable).

Seems many of us like the way the keys look with the caps.

ED, do you know what type of plastic will be used for the caps?  Just wondering how clear it will be and if it will actually have that look.  I like the look of the flat tops more than the convex keys on the Pandora, however I won't know if I like how they feel until I try it.  Hurry up and finish so I can send you money and get one in my hands.
