the road maybe long, but look at how much has been done! The wait will be well worth it. The anticipation increases after each update.
 
The road is long, with many a winding turn, that leads us to who knows where, who knows when.


But I'm strong. Strong enough to carry it (woah-oh). It ain't heavy, it's my Pyra.

Well the pyra looks like it is turning out to be pretty feature packed. I can't wait tell the pre orders start.

Nikolaus is working at two things at the same time: Getting kernel 3.17 to work with all hardware AND testing the hardware itself.
Anyone mind to go into detail about the implications ?

Still having my fingers crossed, that this includes some kind of tilt sensor - nice for running Android on it, and for creating just another usecase: Pyra as a water-level

We'll most probably use the BOE display, as the quality is great and we already got it to work.


We still want to test the success and maybe a Sharp one.
Please do so, maybe we could even see some comparison pics ?

First thing I hear about this. This is something that can be used as a sensor for temperature and altitude/barometer, right? Interesting...
barometric pressure only, no temperature.
Are you sure?

According to this:

the thing can measure temperatures between 0 and 65°C with an accuracy of ±1°C.

I think it measures temperature in order to compensate for temperature when measuring pressure/altitude.

Where did they put this chip though? Will it get enough ambient air?

Edit: Never mind noticed ED mentioned that specific chip.. it is very tiny I suppose it can be shoved in almost anywhere.

Maybe they are only interested in delta (=> not absolute) temperature values, to compensate ?

Maybe whe get a Homebrewgame like the "Barcode Battler", just whit Pressure...

Most new cell phones come with a similar chip for use mostly as an altimeter..

I accidentally read "(rise/sink speed)" as Kitchen sink speed.

I like the barometer. I want an application that says Fair, Rain, or Storm like the old fashioned barometer I used to have.
