Pyra Marketing Slogan

A latpop at a smartphone's size, fully open, fully yours.

Scrap the first bit, that's a description, not a slogan.

A slogan should roll off the tongue,  easy to say, easy to remember, and easy to associate with the product.

That said,  "Fully Open, Fully Yours"  is a good slogan.  (though not necessarily one I would choose for the Pyra)

Maybe french definition of a slogan is different from english.

You're talking about remembering but it's easy to remember something which have a meaning and make you reflect.

"A latpop at a smartphone's size"

Bob: What is it? Why it isn't a smartphone if it's a laptop at a smartphone's size? What it has more than a smartphone? What it has like a laptop that a smarphone hasn't?

or another:

"Much portable than any laptop, Much more than a smartphone"

Bob: So it's like a laptop but why much more?  It's also like a smartphone, I bet what it have more than a laptop is the size. But why it is much more than a smartphone, what it has like a laptop that a smarphone hasn't?

Contrary to a generics slogan like:

"Play, explore, create"

Bob: *wind noise*

But again,  you're talking about description,  not slogans.   The point of a slogan isn't description, it's marketing.
A slogan doesn't need to describe the product, it just needs to draw attention to it.

I don't know what's the exact english definition of slogan, you're probably right.

A slogan (or a desciption) is to catch attention if I see this: "A latpop at a smartphone's size" I would think like:

Kiga: What is it? Why it isn't a smartphone if it's a laptop at a smartphone's size? What it has more than a smartphone? What it has like a laptop that a smarphone hasn't?

And I would click because I'd want to know the answer at my last question. I think a large part of people Pyra aim for would do the same.

Pyra: Now you're playing with power

Pyra: The linux gaming platform

Pyra: Freedom to work, freedom to play.

Pyra: the open source do-anything handheld

Pyra: The portable linux desktop

Just a few ideas. There were some good ideas posted above.

I suppose that could work on it's own,  though personally I don't like it as a slogan.

Pyra: Now you're playing with power

Pyra: Freedom to work, freedom to play.
Those two I like. :)

What about

Pyra

"Imagination is your only boundary"

Of course if you wanted to grab peoples attention without fail, you could try a slogan from the movie Crazy People , like I posted in the Absurdism thread.  ie

Pyra

"For nerds who would like a hand job from beautiful gamer girls they hardly know"

or

"It's power won't just scare you, it will fuck you up for life"

Gauranteed to get peoples attention :p

How about a slogan that teaches people one of the first rules of Homebrew?

"Pyra: Ports Require Source"

:p
