First batchers out there?

Still got my first batch Pandoras .. #008 and #045.  I use them every day - or at least one of them .. its sitting on my table running FlipClock. ;)

I think I must have gotten one of the worst first batch Pandoras out there. Already had to send it back twice, once to get a new LCD cable after the first one died and to get a new case since the black one was literally falling apart. A second time to fix a problem with the headphone jack and a problem with the new case.

Now my touchscreen is having some drifting issues in the upper left corner and my charger broke.

I always kept it safe and used it properly, never dropped it or anything.

Long story short, I still like the device and would never give it away. (though I really hope the Pyra does not suffer from the same case problems)

It's the long number in the white box.

So yours is probably the 750th unit rolled out right?

Does anyone know why 120002 prefix was chosen?

I'm a happy first batcher... however I did upgrade it to 1Ghz, using the original case with the new board, so my Pandora still has the First Batch sticker.

From what I gathered the serial numbers are not quite in order to when they came off the line... Craig and EvilDragon had numbers from the samebroll of labels and applied Them before shipping them to customers.

I used to know the number of my first two pandora's (one with a broken audio, one developed a purple tint of death) but the third is fine. Btw for all the craig bashers around, all three of those came from craig and were delivered without any problems.

My current pandora is a very special one to me since I changed the LCD cable and solderd my jack plug socket back on (it fell off after an accident involving me on a bike and a car :D ) somehow these two things make my pandora even more 'my pandora' still use the thing daily and will buy the pyra for sure!

First batcher here too. Will be 3 years the coming May 2014. Pandora still in good condition. Had come with a small crack above one of the sd slots but it stayed put. Side of LCD plastic a bit scratched when I changed the original LCD cable due to a purple screen'o'death and had to change the battery lid as I snapped all tabs due to not remembering instructions! Still happy with the device though. Having full Linux PC functionality is what did it for me as I don't retro-game much.
