SuperZaxxon v1.60 released

@Archimark: You might want to replace the newer files in some cases. The eventmap-opkg contains code to be able to suspend/resume while playing on TV. The inittab-opkg contains one less comment, that the Pandora can use different kernels. I do not know how much faster one less comment line will make the pandora boot, but in theory... it will becomes faster on a file you never read anyway.

The cpu.conf-opkg actually puts things back to 800Mhz... you might not want that.

Also, my clock reset to London instead of Amsterdam time... weird, had to set the time myself.
Thank you for all the input and advice!.....

What is the easiest way to replace the newer files now that I've done the upgrade?...

Thanks.

I guess the commandline, just move your actual file to a .ORG (just in case you want to go back), then move the new file to the name it should have, like so:

sudo mv <CONFIG> <CONFIG-ORG>
sudo mv <CONFIG-NEW> <CONFIG>

Remember that the sudo mv requires a first root password, then it remembers it, an actual example:

sudo mv /etc/inittab /etc/inittab.ORG
sudo mv /etc/inittab-opkg /etc/inittab

If you want to know what the differences are, then

diff <CONFIG> <CONFIG-NEW>

You will see lines that begin with ">" that stuff has been added from the first to the second file. And "<" means it has been removed.

(hmm.. I miss a meld/kompare/kdiff3 graphical diff program)

Thank you again for your help....

I realize now that I was thinking the upgrade had replaced the older files with the new ones. So, my question was really about asking where to find a copy of the older files....

Now, I realize that this was not the case and in fact I had situation backwards....

So, as you say, just need to move the new file into the right place....

Thanks.

Since Super Zaxxon 1.60, the key combination/shortcut "CTRL+Left/Right on Dpad" doesn't switch between virtual desktops/workspaces.  Does anyone else have this issue?

never used it, but just tried it and it`s not working for me either.

I don't think it ever did, maybe you had some customizations. Alt+Ctrl+up/down works for me though.

What Notaz said. Normally, you'd need Alt+Ctrl+directions to switch desktops.

Still havn't had time to install this yet, however the Python update and TV-Out updates alone are going to make this more than worthwhile of an update for me.

I have found 2 pnds now, that won´t start because of the python update. they seem to look for files with 2.6 in name. I fear the only possibility to fix this is either run old firmware ( Ihave 1.55 on NAND and 1.6 on SD) or test every pnd and hope the developer will fix it

until now the only problems I encountered.

Post a comment about the issue on the PND's repo page. It will send an email to PND maintainer.

Edit: Also what programs are you having trouble with... Because I just tried KeepNote and it works fine with my Pandora with SZ 1.60

I testet Several PNDs, as i tried out my new Pandora. Until now it was Keepnote and the recipe manager. I put the text of the .out in the keepnote release thread and postet on the repo page.

With keepnote it says:

ImportError: libpython2.6.so.1.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

perhaps it is caused from the OS running from SD? installed it with the SD Installer provided from the Menu in 1.55

edit: when i remove the SD with the OS (32 GB SD left Slot OS, 64 GB SD right Slot PNDs and other data) and run the PND from the other SD, it works

I've found mypaint and radiotray fail due to the Python update

NAND

As it was on my newly upgraded Pandora a few days ago.

(Not that I can see that making a difference)

Ok. I asked, cause I boot from SD an two apps I tested wont work.

But Trashy said it worked. So i try to figure out the difference. Until now, I havent found any

Try to install this version on my 1GHz pandora but when i push R at startup nothing  :(

Just a menu without "boot from sd1"

I put all the files in my SDXC 128 GO extFAT formatted with panasonic.

How can I do?

I don't see Boot from SD1.
