My 1 ghz Pandora will not power up for some reason. All I did was take the battery out and then put it back in. Now it seems to be dead and I cannot  even charge it. The battery and charger work with my other Classic Pandora. Any suggestions???

Humm... I remember a similar problem with the first rebirth pandora I have got.

The battery dropped to 0% overnight somehow and it did not want to boot up

the day after.

Even charging had no effect in the first place. It just did not come up again.

But somehow the issue got solved by itself. By letting it attached to the charger for a while.

Approx 15-20 min if I remember right. That was the time I ve been looking after it again.

Maybe that solves the issue youve got as well. But not sure about it =S

Well I will give that a try and see it works. I am not sure if the battery went to zero or not, but we will see. Thanks for the suggestion.

I had something similar in the summer - it was very warm. Suggestion then was to keep it in the fridge - not freezer - for a while and then try again. Doesn't hurt to try.

Are the little pads inside the battery compartment still there?

Maybe one fell out, then the battery doesn't make proper contact anymore.

Yes they are still there. The battery works and and the charger work with my other Pandora Classic. It is like I blew something, but I cannot see how as I only just took the battery out and put it back it. I did have a USB hub hooked up to it. I USB host was giving me problems. Maybe this has something to do with it, but I still cannot see how.

Did you have any luck yet ?
Nothing yet. It really looks like something blew. Right now I am leaving it alone with the battery out and maybe it will  come back to life again. This worked with some computers in the past.

I may be sending it back for repairs. Luckily, I still have my old Classic though it will not be the same.

Well I ended up sending it back to DragonBox. They said they could fix it. Tracking shows me it did arrive in Germany yesterday. I believe it had something to do with my USB hub. For the last two weeks I had trouble getting it to work consistently. Of course it could also be the Pandora, but I tried the hub on both Pandoras and nothing on either. I bought a new hub and it worked the first time I used it. Right now I am waiting for Dragonbox to send me an email about what is going on.
