I ported PSP-Maps again

This is a map viewer, can show google maps, open street map, and a whole lot of other online maps.

It caches data, so can be used offline (for places you already saw).

http://repo.openpandora.org/?page=detail&app=pspmaps-21132

changes:

- 800x480
- use pandora buttons
- fix GUI for larger screen
- typing rather than "arcade style" text entry

- quicker transitions

anyway it seems useful and usable, give it a try

any bugs or issues, please let me know before you give a 1-star rating! thanks

I gave it 5 stars!

Can't actually test it due to needing an internet connection so didn't bother to download. Looks nice from that screenshot though! Well earned indeed.

D.

lol, someone else gave it a good rating too so you got it off to a good start there :D

I got in touch with the other maintainer, I'll merge with his version, and hopefully we'll merge them on the repo too.

Being an evil pirate, I'm keen to add a "greedy snarf" feature where it will download and cache all the maps within say 100km of some place :)

Then I can throw out my street directory (or maybe not).  Can also do this on a PC and copy the cache / settings to Pandora, for reluctant-wifi peeps like yourself.

well the max-cache-size setting resets everytime i restart the app.

best would be a "never-delete-cache"-entry, else i'm always afraid of loosing old data...

you maybe know if/where i can download data (gmaps) for a whole country?

atm i'm using modRana with openstreetmap, because you can at least download a whole area (at night when sleeping) ;)

(got no computer atm, so i can't experiment myself)

good job btw!
