I picked up a PSP Go for $66 (USD) last week and I have to say I really like it! Anyone else on the boards have one and have some good games/homebrew to put on here? I have a plug-in installed that lets me dim the brightness more than default, this screen is BRIGHT.

Currently playing:

Ridge Racer

Monster Hunter Portable 3rd (with english patch)

Burnout Legends

I have two! :) Lots of people dog on the PSP Go, but I love it.

Fun games include:

God of War (Chains of Olympus and/or Ghost of Sparta)

Wipeout Pulse

Silent Hill: Shattered Memories

Lumines 2

Grand Theft Auto Chinatown Wars

And homebrew:

gpSP (GBA emulator)

SNES9X TYL (SNES emulator)

Daedalus (N94 emulator - some games actually run pretty well!)

Cave Story (awesome side scroller)

I have one (along with 2 older PSPs) and I love it too.

It is a great form factor with a great screen.

Legitimate ROM?

How is this relevant? All he said was that he was playing the game with an english patch. For all you know he legally owns that game. Seems rude to quiz people about games they mention (unless they specifically mention piracy... Which he did not. You're the one taking it in that direction.).

Edit: Anyway, to add something more useful to this thread, another great game that's often overlooked is Crush. Really cool puzzle game, cheap on PSN. :)

I haven't got a hacked PSP, so I need to know whether or not I can patch my UMD MHP.

Ah. My apologies if that's why you were asking. It does seem like you'd need custom firmware on your PSP in order to do that kind of thing, though I haven't done it myself.

Thanks, I'll give it a whirl then on my HM PSP 3000 this coming Anzac Day. Cheers, werms.

No problem. With that firmware you should be able to get the UMD version of MHP, rip it to an ISO file on your memory stick, and apply the aforementioned English patch. :)

Yes this, it's really easy to do.

I haven't even played much, getting hooked into Ridge Racer right now.

Got a few questions about PlayStation emulation and particularly the PSP Go.

What emulates psx best out of PSP Go and Caanoo, PSP Go I would guess but not sure?

IF looking at PSP Go for this, are any models best, I read of n1000 and n1003, or do any existing models not run with psx emu?

see a video of Bloody Roar 2 on Caanoo and was far too slow to be playable but recalling back to when I had my old hacked PSP 1000 most psx worked nice
