Corpse Sits Among Oblivious Video Gamers For Nine Hours In Taiwan Internet Cafe

I've moved this to the Off Topic section, if that's all right - that's where non-Pandora, non-other-hardware topics ought to be. :)

As for the story, it's tragic, but I'm not sure it says anything about you gamers... It just says that some people were possibly ignorant, in a place where, perhaps, people try to stay out of other people's business...

It's practically an icy blizzard outside, my boiler has died and as I shiver at my laptop typing this, (head to foot in trespass snow gear (must get out of my Santa suit, its February)) that article has given me palpitations!

If I don't post for some time, feel free to start a celebratory 'MarioPandio is Dead' thread!

IF that is, anyone even notices
:)

Seriously though, its tragic but theres been tons of such events and it's quite mind boggling. Remember the worldwide WoW online funeral for one such guy/gal that died playing it in some caffeine fuelled marathon, that Leeroy Jenkins hadn't ruined the raid for?

Well at least he died non violently and seemingly happy!

Unless someone had stolen his CloudSong?

R.I.P

Eww, 9 hours? Must have stank out the place.
A body does not reach any really obvious level of decay after nine hours. In fact, (considering the short time frame) it is more likely that the deceased was found because he stank *less* than his peers, due to not generating sweat, etc. as a living person would.

It depends on the room temperature...plus, these gamers are addicted to gaming/internet and are too caught up in their own little world to notice anything going on around them, let alone a dead body.

Generally there is only a noticeable smell around the time rigour mortis wears off, which under normal conditions is at least 48 hours. Even if you somehow had brilliant conditions for the necessary bacteria to grow and other life to oviposit (i.e. warm and humid) then I think you would be pushing it to get within 12-18 hours or so. Combined with the... aroma given off by the people that tend to frequent these places, it's not impossible that this guy smelled lemony-fresh by comparison :p

lol, you're right. I never factored into account the stench that these addicted gamers have, especially that some of them probably wouldn't have had a shower/bath for days on end.

The world ends with you (DS), because the title would be hilarious due to the situation + the game's a good un. :)
