Batch 1 and 2 moving a bit forward (2011-07-16)

Do we know when we can expect the next shipment by CC, or how big it will be? Waiting for two months is quite dis-hearting, especially when you pay over $100 extra for a 7-DAY premium order. Not blaming you though :)

My dad even recommend you throw in a free Pandora case for those premium orders which have been delayed for months. Although I said that would set you back way too much, and that's the last thing we need! :p

According to them, at least 125 boards the end of this week.

Fingers crossed...

Counting down the days. Will those boards be going to you or Craig? And just out of curiosity what kind of turnover do you guy's have for Pandora's? Does it take an hour to make one? two? 24? :)

So the testing rigs are basically a modified case with cutouts that doesn't have to be fully assembled like a normal case.

Thanks!

The success of the iCP (it really starts selling now!) sure helps moving the Pandora production to Germany as well, as it surely covers some of the costs :)

Sorry if the question sounds stupid but did I miss something? What is this iCP? Something I should have bought?

I've been waiting a long time for my Pandora, since Oct. 12, 2009 to be precise. I invested in this project and more recently the iCP for two reasons:

A long time? I ordered on Oct. 1st, 2008. Yes, over a year before you, and I am still waiting. I hope my investment pays off, some day. I feel I have been incredibly patient, but my patients is starting to wear a bit thin.

If you have new boards meaning new pandora console are coming out,it's time for second batch.

What will be difference betwwen first batch to second batch.

I have pandora with faulty sd card slot 2,can it still be replaced with second batch system, well this unit was bought from ebay.

^ Wait, didn't you say in the Support section that you were the one who broke the slot by forcibly pulling the card out of it, and that you were already generously granted an RMA for it provided that you could tell them the original order number?

Anyway, this has come up many times: There will be no differences between batch one and batch two units.

Yes all true but what could i do sd card was locked in,so i had to take it out,i thought if return it with order no. and just get it replaced it with 2nd batch system that will be much better rather wait for months to receive it back.

As you say there is no difference then it's pointless having 2nd batch unit,it would been better if it had higher cpu and system ram that will be great advantage.

Hi Rob M,

Welcome to the boards. Unfortunately, the board manufacturer in Texas has been failing us miserably. They did not manage to produce the boards in time and had a ridiculous failure rate. As a consequence, the team is now moving production over to Germany. This has cost quite a bit of money and ED had to spend some time to gather investments (enough community members have invested for production to move over). The new factory now needs some time to setup and test before mass production can commence.

So, unfortunately, we are looking at January for board production to start again. I know that this is not what you want to hear now, but please hang on just a while longer as the Pandora is easily worth the wait.
