SONY PlayStation Vita (PS Vita)

Aaarg, i meant something like this:

A Stepcounter, "Schrittzähler", a device who counts your footsteps and says how many miles you away from your startpoint now, something is build in in the aktually ipod nano

Dos anybody know, what i tried to say???

Running = A hobby in which you run a few miles only to bee sporty,

Stepcounter: a thing what you need to count your steps, also named "Pedometer" Pedo = the Greek Word for "Foot"

Thats realy divicult, if you dont know the right words in english ..

Anyway: PSVITA (Spielestation Leben) , Unchartet Golden Abbys (Unerforscht, Goldener Abgrund) , Little Deviants (kleine Abweichler) und Touch my Katamary (something like Berühre meinen Klumpen) , "ich freu mich drauf " (im looking forward )

The German word for the Games, where quite strange, and i know, that the peaple know what i meant whit the pedometer , i speak better english than Frensh, but i hat frensh in Shool for about 9 Yeahrs...., lol

Agreed! No advertising what so ever.

Here in the states, there is a tie in to Taco Bell, for a free give a way, but besides that, NOTHING, and even if you watch that commercial you would hardly know it was for a new handheld by Sony.

Maybe they don't have the high quantities that would be needed for a worldwide launch, so they are waiting for a later time for a bigger push(trying to avoid sell outs). So many game companies have such a twisted vision of video game consumers, and you can never really tell what is going on in there minds. They may be thinking at this time of year no one is willing to pay so much for a new console except for the hardcore, and they already know about it.

Today is SuperBowl, so I would like to think they would at least spend some money on a cool spot during that, as it is the most watched program worldwide every year. I would love to see the Japanese "Gravity Daze" commercial, as it has that cool superbowl commercial feel from back in the day, but I'm sure no one at Sony is doing that much thinking.

But if they don't run some kind of ad today, I doubt they ever will.

Chris

PSVista has a concept launch advert for media outlets to play after the launch of the brand. They were awful, terrible, horrid ads. The imagination of a world where people in the real-world would hookup with other similar gamers nearby, taking social gaming a whole new way. Anyway, I didn't hear anything positive about it. I hope the next ad focuses on the games. An 30 second ad just playing 5 seconds of a select 6 games would win more than any unrealistic social gaming concept. What would be awesome is if the last 5 seconds was someone with a "generic touch screen gaming systems" fumbling with controls and getting owned in Mortal Kombat or something.

Just got to check the Vita at a local Gamestop, and I must say, WOW. Very nice quality. I was pressed for time, so I only threw on Uncharted and Gravity Daze for a few minutes each.

Both games where graphically Awesome. I cant really say how the controls work long term, but they functioned fine for the few minutes they where needed.

I didnt plan to check out the Vita prerelease, but I'm glad I did. I dont think the wait will be any worse, it might actually be better now that I have seen it in person. Very Cool!

Chris

typical sony bullshit, not only wont you be able to download the games you own for a fee, but now, you wont be able to download them at all

Yeah, honestly I had no plans to ever take advantage of this idea to begin with, so this news doesn't really effect me at all. Once they announced that there would be a fee involved in the transfer process, I said "Hell No"!

I still have my original PSP 2000 w/cfw, so I guess I'll just have to stick with that if I want to play PSP games. I know every new system that comes along likes to be able to play the previous gen titles, but normally within 6-12 months backwards compatibility becomes a non issue for most.

Many are up in arms today, but by this time next year, I'm sure this will be a forgotten topic, or at least I hope it will be.

Chris

Im also own a PSP 1004 and i know that the Handheld works because i did charge the Batterie the last Month, so if i want to play a psp game, i can play it on the psp, and for other game i use the psvita, but as i ditnt play a psp game since i have the 3DS, i dont need to play a psp game now that i wait for the vita..

Same here, I thought it was a bad deal to begin with...
That's quite possibly why they scrapped it: so many people complained that they found it wouldn't be viable to proceed, or at least would have been risky.

Yeah.It don't effect me as i can just get a psp if i want to play psp games.Secondhand ones are cheap now anyways.Roll on vita i say.

Hey Sony, I saw your 5 word game review of "Gravity Daze", can you give an overall review of it over here? I'm guessing you don't read Japanese, so story details aren't required, but how would you rate it overall as a new IP?

I got to check out the graphics on the demo unit, but I didn't really get any time to try out the game mechanics(I thought it looked fab). It looks like a crazy wild "beat-em up game" from the vids I have watch. I'm fairly sure I will pick it up once it is released in the states(no release day announced yet, WTF?), as it appears to be the highest rated Vita game so far.

How would you rate it along side other Vita games that you have bought so far?

Just traded in my 3DS and some games, and paid off the rest of my Vita pre-order. It's going to be a long week! :D
I have a 3ds and ive never played it.Wouldn't get much if i traded it in though so will hold on to it.I shall buy a vita though even though ill just barely be able to afford it.It's more my style than 3ds.

You might be surprised. The system and a few games got me around $150 at gamestop, which I was pretty happy with. :) They do have a couple promotions going right now, though.
