was going to buy a GP32 in the last few weeks, unfortunately, i needed the cash for something else, but the good news, i can now wait a few more weeks to get a GP32 with front lit screen.

when i do, i look forward to playing Flip & Flop, Deflektor and the absolute classix... Trains...

I grew up playing many games on my Commodore 64 and I have to say I haven't heard of any of those games.

Are they any good ?

some of my fav's

7 cities of gld
impossible mission
Legacy of the ancients
wasteland....(prolly one of the best games of all time)
the epyx library
the version of outrun was kinda fun as well :)

there are alot more, but i can't remember the names....arg

hehe, yer right there Gristy, nothing ever will :D

I wanna play Spellbound Dizzy, but the keymappings all out  the C64 one is mucho different to all the other versions of this one ive ever played, cant wait

oh and save state

Bonks

Save state doesn't work fully yet...

Dizzy is probably one of the best series of games - but cannot play alternate reality series on the c64 emulator - its more complex and entertaining than final fantasy in my opinon - its not linear - open-ended and is just an amazing rpg-- but hey we cannot play it on gp32 yet(as far as I know) - The atari 800 version is by far the best.

has anyone got Activision's Great American road race to work?

Nah... Dizzy games suck... ;)

Ya can't beat a bit of Leaderboard Golf.
And for shoot 'em ups the C64 was tops.
I mean who doesnt like Delta?

Even if you don't like C64 games you can load them up and just sit and listen to the tunes! :)

Fave games:
Creatures (doesn't seem to work on the emulators :( )
Commando (crackin' tune!)
Delta
Nemesis
Little Computer People (again, doesn't seem to work on emu's)
Boulderdash
Impossible Mission ('stay a while... staaaay forever!!!' :D )
Kickstart (VERY hard to get into but was an AWESOME two player game)
Uridium

etc, etc, etc...

The track from Warhawk was pretty cool too, and in it's time was a budget game!!!! A pretty good game as well IMHO (a Vertical shoot'em up).

I'll have to find the D64 image and have another blast.

BTW - What the deal with Wonderswan, I had never heard of the machine, are there any sites out there with info etc

Cheers

MrT

My favs were Creatures 1 & 2, and the mighty Mayhem in Monsterland. I haven't managed to get any of those 3 running yet under GPFrodo32. Of course I did also enjoy the following C64 titles, and you will be pleased to know that they all run under GPFrodo32:

Amorphous
Capture 1 & 2
Colouration
Megaforce
Square Scape 2

You can download them all from StudioX64 homepage which is my website, and leagally play them as I wrote them all! :D See the link to "Our games" down the left hand side. You will find that the games are all individual (sorry about that) so you will need to LOAD"game",8,1 then run each one in turn. Amorphous is in D64 format so you can just attach D64 and load first program.

I am in the process of building a D64 of everything now, as well as writing a nice menu front end to aid program (.PRG) files loading more easily under GPFrodo32.

PK.
