Quick update and summary

my cellphone has started to take a subconscious beating! hurry with the release but not too fast though because of clumsiness... im an American, of course I'm backwards in relation to you, can't you tell that German is the backwards English lol.

I'm done rambling, so keep up the good work!

Welcome to the future; it's Pyra.

Question. Will upgrade boards be a definitive possibility?
I have been following the Pyra for quite some time and am very enthused with the idea. However, despite it being the only handheld able to meet my specific use cases in many regards, using an OMAP 5 in 2019 seems like even web browsing on modern sites would be very slow. IIRC, it's the same SoC as in the Moto Droid/Milestone, and back then mobile sites were super stripped down...
Is that not a concern though? Am I missing something?

There was a video demonstrating web browsing not too long ago and it was fine, even with several tabs open. I think because it doesn't have the overhead of Android, it runs more efficiently or something. The things I've seen the Pyra do surprise me, like running Dreamcast emulation at full speed using only software rendering.

Yeah, I'm with ya; would be nice to have a reference with some real-life stress tests.

Moto droid / milestone had OMAP 3 with cortex a8 cpu, pyra is using OMAP 5 with cortex A15. Huge difference.

So I didn't find a lot of time to work on building the prototypes. At least I finished replacing one resistor on all mainboards (which limited the charging to 1.4A) and worked a bit on the software side, but I couldn't find the time to do much, sadly.

I'll try to catch up ASAP and work build those prototypes this weeked (or at least as many as I can!)
I'll also try to catch up with the results from Uniqueplast.

Any update on prototypes :p

PLEASE!!!!! if I could audio you the sound of men squealing like Asian girls I would, but that is from a commercial from like 10 years ago, the baconator is awesome Wendy's and there is another crack on this freaking thing that I want to get rid of!

I don't have an awesome sword but show me your pyra!!!!!

Ah, we didn't have that. Closest here was probably 'The future's bright. The future's Orange' for a now defunct telephony brand.

Unfortunately, I don't have a pyra yet, only a prepreorder for one. The best I can do is to show you my pre-pre-order bonus board:

I think the software side of things needs a little polishing before the prototypes can be released into the wild.
