Money makes the world go round.

I thought we represented 'the exception to the rule'.

I know I certainly do.
We definitely represent the exception, but the reasons for it are different for each user.
I saw this when I found the first announcement of Pyra in Polish computer magazine's website. Most people posting comments seen Pyra as too expensive toy, recommending a laptop or smartphone. However, for many people who don't want smartphone or notebook there are many reasons for Pyra.
For someone it may be access to lots of games through emulator on a portable machine.
For some Admin, a nice handheld SSH tool for all-type diagnostics and administration.
For me, it may become useful as ultra-portable productivity tool like 200LX I was using since last year, with system security and transparency better than most modern handhelds. General "software freedom" is covered in this "security" too. Although I am not a Stallman's philosophy fan, I use GNU/Linux (not because it's a very good system but because it's less awful than modern Windows) and I think last years computer market got too far with limiting users. They try to stuff users with all things they couldn't stuff in 1990s, now with the power of social marketing. And because they set trends, they won't let users back decide.

You are the fur one of the forum

Seems to me there are actually a lot of furs within this community... I can't Say for certain because I try to avoid people getting personal with me online (or anywhere) and I'm not currently a part of the fandom - I haven't been for many many years.

And even though the fandom is quite diverse, I've never found any furs that can fully relate to me...
I may be classed as some kind of Otherkin for my strongly held spiritual beliefs, and I am also celibate for over a decade which seems to be a rarity in the fandom... or almost anywhere except for certain religious groups (and I follow no religion).

So even as a fur I am an exception to the rule.

I've seen a lot of furs telling me the same story so no exception here.

Trying to return to the topic, or semi topic theme, Is there any idea of the future expansions in terms of inversion?

And I haven't, but it probably depends on environment you're looking at. I think that there's some aversion between Furry fandom and Otherkin. Mostly because they use their views different way.

For me, a nice expansion would be adapter to use serial port, which definitely is present somewhere in ARM systems :). However, it's some way converted to USB in charger block (so... what am I supposed to connect there?).
About upgrades, this would require significant costs, definitely. Although ED haven't separated PCB costs to CPU / base (this could be interesting), CPU board is quite big challenge, IMHO bigger than base (if not counting keymat), and developing expansions will require re-design of CPU board. Generally in this board most high-frequency things happen, so we must forget about pushing tracks "where they can go", but all have to be precisely set, twisted if they need to be longer, or capacitors have to be added. We don't know how exactly future CPUs will be, so we may end without some signals :( yet with current pin-out it's not much probable in next few years. However, with new circuits with lack of interfaces, some interface chips to maintain compatibility with e.g. ports may have to be added in upgrade board.
So then two things emerge: Power and temperature. Power - because these chips draw some amps, and temperature because chips like to heat up. If we won't run out of power on connectors (and I've seen such thing even in commercial single-board PCs) upgrade boards would require a complete re-design of CPU PCB. This is my opinion from schematics rev. 5.1.3.
