.dbp is a software package format with similar aims to the Pandora's .pnd format, but with a complete reimplementation. The main feature when compared to other packaging systems (such as Debian's .debs, which the Pyra will also support) is the ability to hot-swap storage media on which packages are installed. A daemon scans newly inserted SD cards for packages to add to an index used to generate desktop application menus, making them available to use almost immediately, with no special user-interaction. Should the SD card then be removed, the index is again updated to remove the relevant games and applications from the menu system.

Comparisons have been drawn to Docker, and to traditional ROM game-carts.

TODO: download from repository, put it in the root directory on an SD card, or put it in /home/USER/...?.
